Who we are

loungeX.com is operated by LX Interactive Inc. (“we”, “us” and “our”). This policy covers the website, accounts, community posts, photos and support features. Use Contact us for privacy questions, access, correction or removal requests.

Information we handle

• Accounts: email, display name, handle, account identifiers, verification status and security records. Password accounts store a protected password hash, rather than a readable password.
• Google sign-in: an account identifier and basic identity information such as your name, email and verification status. We do not receive your Google password.
• Facebook sign-in: your app-specific Facebook identifier, name and email if shared, used to create or connect your loungeX account. We do not receive your Facebook password, request access to your friends or groups, or post to Facebook. Facebook access tokens are not saved to your loungeX account.
• Community activity: your profile, bio, photos, posts, comments, event details and likes, including the account association needed to operate them.
• Support: the name, reply email, reason and message you choose to send.
• Technical information: IP addresses, browser and request details, errors and security events processed to operate and protect the site.

What other people can see

Your display name, handle, bio and profile thumbnail are public. Posts, comments, event locations and attached photos are also public, along with displayed activity dates and vote totals. Your account email and sign-in details are not shown on your profile.

Think carefully before sharing identifiable people, private addresses or sensitive information. Obtain permission before uploading someone’s photo. Public material can be copied, shared or indexed by others; removing it here cannot recall those copies.

Why we use information

We use information to run accounts and discussions, display events and photos, remember preferences, send account and security emails, answer support requests, investigate failures and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information.

Services and external links

Microsoft Azure provides production hosting, database, photo storage and account email services. Google and Meta provide sign-in when you choose their respective options. Our web fonts load from Google Fonts. These services receive the information needed to deliver their features, including network information when your browser connects.

Production infrastructure is based in the United States. Providers and support services may process information outside your province or country. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or threats to rights and safety.

Linked ticket sellers, music services and other websites have their own policies. Images linked from another website may connect your browser to that host.

Cookies and browser preferences

The LX.Auth cookie carries your protected sign-in session. Account tickets last up to 14 days and may renew with use. “Keep me signed in” allows a persistent cookie; otherwise it is a session cookie, which browser session restoration may preserve.

LX.Csrf supports request security. Google and Facebook sign-in use temporary authentication and correlation cookies to connect your sign-in request and return. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account features from working.

We remember your blue or white background preference in local storage under lx-background. You can change it using the theme toggle or clear it in browser settings.

Analytics and advertising

If you allow optional analytics, Google Analytics receives basic usage information such as community page visits, browser/device information and approximate region. We send simplified community page paths without query strings, search terms, post titles, profile names or account identifiers. Account and profile pages are not measured. Advertising features are disabled.

The Google tag loads only after you choose Allow. Your choice is remembered in local storage under lx-analytics-consent. Analytics uses first-party _ga cookies with a six-month expiry that can renew with activity. Use Analytics settings in the footer to change your choice; choosing No thanks stops collection and removes these cookies. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy.

Photo processing

Uploaded photos are re-encoded into a thumbnail and a larger version with a maximum dimension of 1,600 pixels. Embedded metadata is removed during processing. Your public profile displays the thumbnail; the larger profile version is available to the owner. Both post-photo versions can be viewed publicly once attached to a published post. Image content itself may still reveal people or places.

Retention and your requests

Account records and published contributions remain stored while needed to operate the community. You can edit your profile and remove or replace its photo. Self-service account deletion and export are not available yet; contact us to request access, correction or removal, including any particular posts or photos.

We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting. We will explain any information that must be retained for security, legal obligations or the integrity of discussions. Recovery copies and separately held support correspondence may remain after active records are removed; exact production retention arrangements are being finalized before launch.

Policy updates will appear here with a revised date. Material changes will be accompanied by appropriate notice.
